Return & Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, here's how returns work at Little India Mart.
General returns
You may return an item within 7 days of purchase, pickup, or delivery if:
- It is still within its expiry/use-by date
- It is in its original, unopened condition
- It is not damaged
Returns must be brought to our store in person, along with your receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact us before returning an item so we can confirm it's eligible.
Perishable and temperature-sensitive items
For health and safety reasons, we generally do not accept returns or offer refunds on milk, yoghurt, batter, frozen items, fresh mithai, and other perishable products, particularly once the item has left our store or been out for delivery, as we cannot guarantee the required temperature has been maintained once it's left our care. If an item arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, please contact us immediately (see below) — we assess these on a case-by-case basis.
Damaged, incorrect, or faulty items
Please check your order as soon as you receive it. If an item is damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, contact us straight away, ideally with a photo, so we can resolve it quickly — this may include a replacement or refund.
How to request a return
Contact us at littleindiamartclayton@gmail.com or 0403 306 036 with your order details and reason for return. We'll confirm whether the return is approved before you bring the item in.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method. Since payment is only captured after order confirmation, if your payment hasn't yet been captured, we'll simply void the authorization instead — no charge, no refund needed.
Non-returnable items
- Perishables affected by temperature/handling once outside our care (see above)
- Items without original packaging or that have been opened/used
- Sale items and gift cards
